In 1991, D’Arcy Iseke acquired Johnson’s Meats, marking the beginning of a legacy in providing St. Albert and surrounding areas with the finest retail meats. D’Arcy dedicated himself to delivering the world's best meats until his retirement in June 2009.
Since then, the tradition lives on as D’Arcy's son, Kyle, took the reins, ensuring the continuation of the family business. In 2020, Kyle expanded the legacy by acquiring Buffalo Valley Variety Meats, unveiling a second location in South Edmonton after a swift renovation.

A Slice of History: D'Arcy's Meat Market Ltd.
Founded in 1991, D’Arcy's Meat Market Ltd. has deep roots, emerging from Johnson’s Meats, established in 1961 by Dave Johnson. Kyle, having grown up in the retail meat-cutting industry, inherited the passion for the craft from his father. In 2009, Kyle officially took over, and the shop underwent a significant expansion in 2015, building the current location in St. Albert from the ground up.
In October 2020, Kyle expanded his reach by acquiring Buffalo Valley Variety Meats in Edmonton, Alberta, adding a second location to better serve customers in South Edmonton.

Kyle Iseke, a proud graduate with honors and the highest in class from N.A.I.T. with a Certification in Meat-Cutting, carries on the tradition with dedication. Happily married with two children, Kyle and his team work tirelessly to serve loyal customers who return week after week for the best-tasting steaks, pork, chicken, and sausages.
