Doris Charest's life is engulfed by a passion for painting. She explores textures, shapes, and contemporary looks to capture nature in ways that surpass the limitations of a camera. Featured in prestigious publications like Somerset Studio and Leisure Painter, Doris has received acclaim for her distinctive work. In 2011, she earned the Sylvie Brabant award for her significant contributions to the art community. Her work is also showcased in 'Oh West Canada' by Imago Mundi in 2017.
Specializing in mixed media painting and drawing, Doris Charest is a seasoned artist who offers both online and in-person workshops. Her continuous experimentation with various media has led to the creation of unique and captivating artworks.

This sparked a lifelong passion for painting, leading her to take classes across Texas, Arizona, Quebec, and Alberta. Growing up on a farm in northern Alberta, surrounded by fields of wheat, canola, and flax, provided a rich palette of colors that continues to fuel her memories and inspire her paintings.
