The world of chocolate is varied and complex and included among the varieties of confections is the ever popular bon bon (aka bonbon). Bon bons are characterized as a small chocolate confection, typically filled with liqueur. In canada, where French is the official ‘second’ language, the term bon is widely understood to mean ‘good’ in English, so bon bon would be considered twice as good! In French, the term bon bon is translated ‘candy’ and have their histroy in France dating back to the 17th century.
