Simply put, student massages are provided by a second-year massage therapy student. Typically these sessions are great for both the client and the student as the student gains practice as credits toward their certification and registration and clients often get a discounted rate for a massage. Keep in mind that receipts from student massages are not available for insurance coverage. Student massages are supervised by an RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) in good standing with a massage association.
