Mission: To advocate, promote, support, and strengthen the visual arts and craft experience in St. Albert and the surrounding region.
Who We Are:
SAPVAC is a dedicated group of visual artists and craftspeople who are passionate about our community's artistic expression. We work closely with the City of St. Albert and other local organizations to ensure that the visual arts thrive in our region.
Our Goals:
- Advocacy: We champion the visual arts and ensure open communication with our community.
- Harmony: We foster a harmonious environment for artists and craftspeople to work and collaborate.
- Stimulation: We strive to strengthen and enrich the visual arts experience for all.
- Awareness: We introduce and promote new ideas and concepts in the visual arts.
- Support: We support the Art In Public Places Program and other cultural initiatives.
What We Do:
- Community Engagement: We host annual events such as the Country Craft Fair and participate in the StArts Festival.
- Artist Support: We provide resources, support, and opportunities for local artists and craftspeople.
- Public Art: We distribute information about public art calls for submissions to our members.
- Gift Shop: We operate the W.A.R.E.S. Gift Shop, showcasing the work of local artists.
- Representation: We represent the interests of our members and the visual arts community.
