Tattered Rose, created and opened in 1999 was a spin off of my western store called “Way Out West”, which had opened 4 years earlier....in Winnipeg, Manitoba. With a move to Alberta in 2006, the store came with me. There were two locations in Edmonton: 4 years at Jasper and 122nd Street and 12 years at the base of a condo building on 110 Street, just north of 99 Ave. The move to St. Albert in Riel Business Park happened in the fall of 2023....and here we are....in a beautiful, quiet, charming location that I just love. I am a clothing designer and design mostly one of a kind clothing, using hand dying techniques I have honed over the years to add an old world feel to the clothing I make by hand, right here in St. Albert. These designs can only be found at my shop, Tattered Rose. In addition to my own designs, Tattered Rose carries Grizas, Cut Loose, Magnolia Pearl and many other lines from around the world. Hopefully, St. Albert residents who love romantic clothing, jewellery and home decor, will discover the shop, as our Edmonton and Winnipeg customers did for years. Our hours are short and sweet (Wed to Sat 11 to 3) but we also offer by appointment. This gives us time to create the kind of clothing we want to wear.....something different from the masses.
