Klondyke Flowers is being proactive against the fight of COVID-19.
First and foremost we are concerned about the health and safety of our staff and customers. We want to ensure you that we are doing everything we can to support the community while maintaining a safe environment for our staff and customers. We are following all health & safety guidelines that are being issued by the public health authority.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) have assured us it is safe to handle deliveries. According to the PHAC, there is no known risk of coronaviruses being transmitted on packages. In general, because of poor survivability of coronaviruses on surfaces, there is a low risk of spread from products or packaging shipped. Currently, there is no evidence of COVID-19 being transmitted by receiving packages.
We understand some people are reluctant to sign for an item now, and we have adjusted our processes. Where possible, and to avoid contact, we will not ask customers for their signature. We can call customers to notify them of a delivery and leave packages on the doorstep to eliminate in-person delivery contact.
We are open and able to assist in-person sales at the store. We can also take orders over the phone or orders over our website. We are still delivering packages and are able to do 100% contactless deliveries. If we need to adjust our business hours we will post the changes on our website, our google business page, social media and post a sign on our door. We will have an after-hours contact number that we can be reached at if required.
Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our employees and customers. We communicate daily to our employees about this issue. They are informed about the measure to protect themselves and others, such as hand washing, using hand sanitizer, avoiding shaking hands and avoiding contact with others who show symptoms of respiratory illness. Additionally, we are taking sensible precautions. We have increased frequency of cleaning of high-touch items such as door handles, cooler doors, front counter, debit machine etc.
If we all do our part we can lower the risk to our community while still supporting local businesses.
