Let us introduce our talented team. Brittany, our founder, hails from Comox, BC, and honed her skills at Vancouver Island University and North Island College. After an apprenticeship at Duchess Bake Shop in Edmonton, she embarked on her journey as a professional pastry chef. Brittany's passion for decorating specialty cakes led her to open her own unforgettable Cake Shop & Dessert Bar. With the support of her partner Jarrett, they took the leap and established Confections Cake Co on November 30, 2017.
Jarrett, our social media and inventory management guru, joined Confections full-time after leaving his previous career. With expertise in coordinating social media platforms and managing inventory, Jarrett ensures our events run smoothly and creates engaging website content. He also happens to be our official taste tester, a role he takes great pride in.
We are fortunate to have Alex, our Head Pastry Chef, as part of our team since the beginning. A Red Seal Baker and graduate of N.A.I.T in Edmonton, Alex brings exceptional skills and a vibrant spirit to our kitchen. Her dedication contributes to the continued success of Confections Cake Co, brightening our day and sweetening yours.
Tessa, originally one of our beloved regulars, couldn't resist the allure of Confections. From enjoying an Americano and occasional treats during study sessions, she became an integral part of our team. Tessa excels at serving customers in the dessert bar, crafting exquisite lattes, and adding her artistic touch to custom cookies behind the scenes. Her versatile skills make her an invaluable asset.
